How the Internet tracks YOU Part I

Most people in the US and Europe use the internet many times a day. They love it; they could not live without it. But, the Internet is very cheap for what it is, thank goodness--or is it? A techy saying comes to my mind when I write this; "If you pay for something, then you have just bought a product. If you take advantage of a free app or some other free item, then YOU are the item." Think about what it costs to get on the Internet for a second. A monthly fee; you pay a service provider like Xfinity or Verizon to give you internet. Nothing wrong there, you're still buying it. Then, you need something to surf the internet with. This means, obviously, a computer or a smartphone. Computers, as you already know, come in sooo many shapes and sizes. But, whatever computer you end up with, they are definitely not free. You're still buying a computer. But other than that? What does a Google account cost, if you even choose to have one? Absolutely Free.. What does Facebook cost? Absolutely Free.. What does Yahoo or Skype or Mozilla Firefox or many other things on the net cost you? Absolutely Free.. There are almost 400,000,001 websites in the world today. Almost ALL of them, you can visit by typing in a URL. Like this:
